Why Do Some Narcissists Portray Themselves As Humanitarian In front Of Others
Narcissists can convince people of anything with their acting. They can do this very easily because they study our behavior and mirror things. With their mirroring technique, they easily impress other people.
For instance, narcissists might portray themselves as humanitarian by exaggeratedly saying things. Such as, they might boast about how they are taking care of various responsibilities in the community in their area.
Or, they might brag about how they are voluntarily handling the shelter homes just to show people how helpful they are towards the disabled and senior people. `
But in reality, they are just exaggerating. Maybe they helped a bit and even there is a reason behind that. Even a simplest altruistic act of a narcissist has hidden agenda.
They will basically impersonate being a philanthropist and moral just to fulfil their narcissistic supply. When other people praise and show appreciation for their altruistic acts, it fulfils their narcissistic supply.
