You have power over your mind — not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.

― Marcus Aurelius

We spend a lot of time controlling the external aspects of our life. Instead, we should focus on managing our thoughts and actions.

The more we overthink things that are out of our control or even try to control our future outcomes, the more disappointed we will be with ourselves. This disappointment will only make us feel more miserable about our life.

Instead of overthinking our external events, we should train our minds to be adaptable to any changes. Train our minds to be liberated. Train our minds in a way so that they can be capable of handling any upcoming storms and upheavals.

Once we do this, we can find internal peace and serenity. We simply have to focus on our thoughts, and nothing external will be able to negatively affect us.
