Yes, not everyone is born with leadership traits. Although people are well capable of adapting the leadership traits and some even can learn those traits. However, some people naturally possess certain leadership traits which set them apart from others.
According to the trait theory of leadership, some common leadership characteristics identify someone as a successful leader.
The attributes that are usually present in an effective leader:

- Ability to encourage people
- Courageous and determined
- Creative in problem-solving
- Emotionally balanced
- Desire to succeed

Although these characteristics are most noteworthy, other traits make a leader unique compared to others. There is also the possibility that a leader might possess some of these traits and still qualify as an excellent leader. In other words, a leader must have these traits but, in the end, it matters how the leader is managing everything by utilizing his or her skills.
Most importantly, our modern technology-driven era requires leaders to be more creative in terms of utilizing their traits. As they have to portray their leadership traits both offline and online, thus, the traditional way of doing things might not work anymore.
