An individual’s overall nervousness or lack of social competence is related to their asocial behaviours. This is why, an asocial person might stay away from certain situations, which frequently can cause social anxiety. Yet, they do not have any trouble interacting with people they already know. In addition, asocial persons also favour doing things alone, however, this tendency should not be mistaken for introversion.

Apart from these, asocial individuals might prefer to exclude people from their social circle because they are afraid of being rejected, which can be made worse by depression episodes and their lack of interest in previous hobbies that they once enjoyed.

So, let’s understand some of the usual signs of asocial behaviour:

  • Isolation and detachment from society
  • Uneasiness in a social setting or gathering situation
