Can We Set Limitations When It Comes To Ethical Aspects of AI In Journalism?

Since the innovation of AI, it has transformed journalism. For instance, it has made things easier when it comes to generating content, confirming facts, and analyzing data more quickly. But there is a caveat: we are facing rapid incorporation of AI, which is raising some fundamental ethical concerns, like where should we set the limit?

Besides, among various ethical concerns, one of the main concerns regarding AI is precision and liability. AI tools, for instance, ChatGPT and many others can write content, but they sometimes generate wrong information or content without context. This is why it raises the question of, if any error occurs, then who should be held liable for that? Will it be the journalist, the developer of AI, or the entity? Likewise, regarding this issue, the Reuters Institute pointed out that an ethical benchmark must be established to make sure that the content generated by AI is precise and accurate.
