I was interested to know about my female archetype, which I think might be the combination of the queen and the wise. But wanted to dive deep more into other archetypes also.

So, the concept of seven female archetypes analyzed by Carl Jung might help us, women, to understand some important insights. For instance, the mother, the maiden, the queen, the huntress, the sage, the mystic, and the lover are seven female archetypes.

Through all seven of these, we can have an idea about what kind of person we are, what we want to be, and what we don’t want to be. All of these insights can help us to utilize our intrinsic nature for good.

Let us find out which one you resonate with the most:

i) The Lover

This archetype usually portrays a passionate and adventurous kind of vibe. Because of their free-spirited and passionate nature, they desire to have thrilling relationships. Whereas, the lover’s emotions might run wild if she is not cautious and unable to control her emotions.

Some of the examples are Marilyn Monroe, Samantha from Sex and the City, Rose from Titanic

ii) The Maiden

This type is naturally intuitive, empathetic, and enthusiastic about everything in life. Her innocent and sensitive nature also illustrates a damsel in distress kind of vibe. This also might lure her into abusive and manipulative relationships unless she somehow manages to liberate herself from her innocence.

Some of the examples are Snow White, Bella Swan from Twilight, and Beth from Little Women.

iii) The Mother

In this archetype, women are natural caregivers and possess a protective and compassionate nature. She likes to take care of others like a mother and this sometimes leads her to prioritize others’ needs above hers. Also, her overly protective nature might sometimes influence her to control her loved ones.

Some of the examples are Molly Weasley from Harry Potter, Marmee from Little Women, Mary Poppins

iv) The Queen
